Southern Arizona Chapter PGA Birdies for Good

2026 Southern Arizona Chapter PGA Birdies for Good

Southwest Section PGA Foundation

<div>We are excited to announce the return of our event that uses golf as a platform for giving back to the community. Our "Birdies for Good" fundraiser for the Southern Chapter PGA will take place on Friday, September 4th at Dorado Country Club in Tucson. Southwest PGA Professionals along with a partner of their choosing will play 72 holes in a two-person scramble, all in one day, in an effort to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, PGA HOPE and the Southwest PGA Foundation.</div>
<div>We are asking for your support of our PGA Professionals as they "play for a purpose" by making a financial pledge for every birdie made on September 4th or a flat donation.</div>

<div>Hi everyone,</div>
<div>My name is Katelyn Hutchison, and I’m an LPGA Professional at The Views Golf Club.</div>
<div>I’m so excited to be playing alongside my fellow professionals in support of such an incredible cause.</div>
<div>Eighteen years ago, my dad decided to learn the game of golf so he could participate in a Ronald McDonald House Charities event at The Gallery. He brought me to his lessons, and I quickly fell in love with the game. Not long after, he made the selfless decision to stop taking lessons himself so he could invest in my dream instead. Looking back, that one decision completely changed my life, and I’ll always be grateful for it.</div>
<div>Eighteen years later, I convinced my dad to play in my first Birdies for Good event. He kept telling me he wasn’t good enough because he wasn’t a golf professional, but I reminded him that’s never been what this event is about. It’s about giving back. Since then, it’s become one of my favorite traditions. Getting to spend the day with my dad while raising money for causes that mean so much to both of us is something I’ll never take for granted.</div>
<div>Together, we’ve been fortunate enough to raise more than <strong>$37,000</strong>, and we’re incredibly honored to once again support Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Southwest Section PGA Foundation.</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who makes this event possible and to everyone who continues to support these amazing organizations.</div>
<div>Thank you!</div>
<div>— Kate &amp; Dad</div>

<h2 class="text-secondary">Welcome to the 2026 Birdies for Good Event</h2>
<div>Greetings to all, and welcome to the 2026 Birdies for Good event, presented by the Southwest PGA Foundation and conducted by Southern Arizona Chapter PGA professionals. On behalf of the Southwest PGA Foundation, our PGA Professionals, community partners, and the many individuals whose lives are touched by this event, thank you for joining us at Dorado Golf Club on Friday, September 4, 2026. Our <strong>#journeyforgood</strong> BEGINS HERE!</div>
<div>Birdies for Good is about much more than golf. It is about bringing together generous donors, sponsors, players, volunteers, and PGA Professionals who share a commitment to strengthening our Southern Arizona community. Your support helps make a meaningful difference for outstanding organizations such as Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, Aviva Children’s Services, and the Southwest PGA Foundation. Through your generosity, these organizations can continue providing hope, care, resources, and opportunities to children, families, veterans, and individuals throughout our community.</div>
<div>Birdies for Good also showcases the extraordinary work of our PGA Professionals. Every day, these dedicated men and women use the game of golf to mentor young people, support military veterans, serve individuals with disabilities, and bring communities together. Their impact reaches far beyond the golf course. Through the Southwest PGA Foundation, your support helps advance programs including PGA HOPE, Special Olympics Arizona, college and vocational scholarship programs, Fisher House Charities, the Patriot Wingman program, junior golf initiatives, PGA Junior League, and assistance for dozens of additional charities and important causes throughout Southern Arizona.</div>
<div>Every birdie made, every contribution received, and every partnership formed with this event creates an opportunity to change a life. Your generosity allows us to expand programs, reach more families, support more veterans, inspire more young people, and provide hope where it is needed most. Thank you for believing in the mission of Birdies for Good and for investing in the people and organizations that make Southern Arizona such a special place. We are honored to have you as a donor and supporter. It cannot be understated the importance of your generosity and the community impact it makes to so many.</div>
<div><em><strong>As a DIRECT DONOR....YOU MATTER! Welcome to the 2026 Birdies for Good event—and thank you for helping us make every birdie count. "Because no Journey should be Taken Alone!"</strong></em></div>

<div>Each year, there are a few opportunities that remind us just how powerful the game of golf can be. This year, Jacob and I are once again honored to participate in the 2026 Birdies for Good fundraiser, benefiting the Southwest PGA Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, Easterseals Blake Foundation, and Aviva Children’s Services. Beyond raising funds for these incredible organizations, it’s a meaningful opportunity for us to spend time together while giving back to the community that has given so much to our family and so many others.</div>
<div>If you’re interested in supporting our efforts, you can pledge any amount per birdie we make throughout the day or make a one-time donation, every contribution, regardless of size, makes a real impact. Thank you for considering supporting these outstanding organizations and helping us use the game we all love to make a difference in the lives of others. Your encouragement and generosity are sincerely appreciated.</div>

<div>We're excited to tee it up again and hope you'll help us make an even bigger impact in 2026.</div>
